Make sure to read the character guidelines before adding any new characters. All characters listed who have been in love with, have a crush on, or are in a relationship with someone and are Bokodere for them will be marked with a heart (♥) next to their name. You can also see who this love interest is by dragging the cursor over the heart. Characters who are not romantic versions of this type, but are cute and affectionate towards friends/family must be marked with (platonic) or (familial) instead. |

"Bokodere" (JP) is a term for a character who despite being in love and having deredere feelings for their love interest, reflexively punches them with their fists when they become embarrassed by their love interest's affection in order to hide their shyness. Despite being honest and gentle people at heart and normally having a cute deredere demeanor with a smiling face, they go into a type of "fight-or-flight" mode when flustered because of their shyness despite not really wanting to hurt their love interest. After some time as they get more used to being affectionate with their love interest they will feel less flustered by affection and will gain control over their violent impulses.
This is not to be confused with:
- Tsungire - A character who is quick to get angry and pushes others away when they try to be affectionate with them. Characters who "purposefully" hit their love interest to hide their feelings as opposed to involuntarily like a bokodere should only be added here.
- Tsuntere - A tsundere character who becomes embarrassed around their love interest and then acts harshly towards them to hide their feelings. Unlike a bokodere they lash out with their words instead of their fists.
