They live a very mundane life and lack a sense of excitement, which causes them to always be bothered by their love interest wanting to spend time with them. When their love interest asks them to do something fun they will complain about it being a bother but will do it anyways because they love them and want to spend time with them despite their dull personality. For them it's about wanting to be with the person they love more than the dullness.
