"Hamedere" (JP) is a term for a character who is addicted to having lots of sex with the person they are deredere for and in love with. They will act very cute and lovey-dovey in public, but when they're alone with their love interest they are constantly getting intimate with them, multiple times in the same day. They are someone who is so in love that they just can't help getting intimate with their love interest as much as possible.

Meaning of the Term[]
Hamedere (ハメデレ) is a combination of "hamehame" (ハメハメ), meaning "having sex", and "deredere" (デレデレ), a mimetic word for "being lovestruck (overly affectionate, lovey-dovey, not hiding one's romantic feelings)".
Origin[]
The term originates from the 2010 erotic romance manga Hamedere Bitch (JP) by Toshio Satou. The story follows the romance of a girl named Mayu who falls in love with her childhood friend Yuichi, where the two end up having sex very often after their first time together.[1]
Alternate Spelling[]
While the term is usually written in full katakana as "ハメデレ" it is also sometimes written in full hiragana as "はめでれ".[2]

It also later used for the 2015 erotic romance manga series Uchi no Shachou no Hamedere Inkatsu (JP), also known as Our President is HAME-DERE in Licentious sex life. by Kurumiya Masumin. The story follows the romance of Gunnaine and her very intimate relationship with her honey, Soji.[3]
The 2019 erotic romance manga Hamedere! (JP) by Mitsuru Asakura also used the term. The series followed several tsundere princesses who were so arrogant it was difficult to hold a conversation with them in normal life, yet when the time came to get intimate they completely changed and become all deredere and gave in to their feminine desires.[2]
It was also used in the 2019-2024 erotic romance manga series Tsuyokina Kanojo ga Hamedere Ochi (JP). The series is an anthology collecting works by various artists that follows the romance stories of strong otoko masari characters who become hamedere.[4]
The term is also quite popular in fan doujins.

They are just so in love that they can't help by want to get intimate with their love interest as much as possible, which they do multiple times in a day. They may even do things like cuddling with their love interest and saying cute pet names like "my honey" or "darling" while asking them to please get intimate with them again. They just love being in physical contact with their love interest.
Most often they will try to get intimate with their love interest any time the two of them are alone together, and they may even skip out on public events to just stay home and be intimate together.

At the same time they do also have a more romantic and generally lovey-dovey side which is usually reserved for when they're out in public together.
Differences From Other Archetypes[]
This type has a lot in common with other lewd dere types and can have a lot of crossovers, though there are also some differences.
The type that is most similar is indere, but the main difference is simply that indere characters don't have to have sex many times even with having abnormal desires if they only do it in moderation, though most characters of this nature likely fall under both types.
Hamedere characters who keep their clothes on during intimate moments could also fall under chakudere, but not all chakudere characters would fall under hamedere.
It has a lot of similarities with yariman, but the only difference is that yariman characters sleep with a large amount of different people and not just the same person many times like with a hamedere character.
Tsundero could be seen as a tsundere variation of this type, where the character has sex with their love interest but acts cold and denies their deredere feelings at first.
The biggest difference between hamedere and erodere is simply that hamedere characters don't actively seduce their love interest as they are already deredere for them prior to doing erotic acts, whereas erodere characters are aggressively seductive in an attempt to win their love interest over. Erodere characters also don't have to actually have sex to seduce their love interest, they are just seductive in general and typically quite pure in actuality. Erodere characters also later adopt a less erotic behavior after falling truly in love, unlike hamedere characters who become more erotic after falling more in love.

- Chindere: A term for a character who becomes deredere for their love interest's penis.
- Erodere: A term for a character who acts very erotic at first and tries to seduce their love interest by causing sexual arousal in them, but after falling in love starts to have a more pure, innocent, and romantic deredere love.
- Indere: A term for a character who has abnormal sexual desires which they want to do with the person they have deredere feelings for.
- Tsundero: A term for a tsundere character who is dishonest with their true feelings of love and acts cold towards their love interest by insisting they're nothing more than a "sex friend" to hide the fact that they actually have deredere feelings for them and desire to be romantic lovers.
- Yariman: A term for a female character who sleeps with a large number of people.
