"Kemonomimi" (JP) is a term for a human character who has animal ears. They will usually also have an animal tail as well, but this is not required. Aside from these two traits they otherwise look like a normal human. It is a form of moe anthropomorphism, which takes animals and turns them into cute human characters.
This is not to be confused with:
- Juujin - A hybrid humanoid animal character with the body shape of a human and the head of an animal, while also being completely covered in fur or scales.
- Kemono - A cute animal character who has human traits.
- Tsuno Musume - A human character who has horns. Characters who only have animal horns and do not have animal ears specifically should only be added here.
