Etymology
Meaning of the Term
Megane (メガネ) comes from the word "megane" (眼鏡), meaning "glasses".[1][citation needed]
Personality
Megane are handsome, stoic, and intelligent male characters who wear glasses. They typically remain calm and collected, rarely losing their cool much like a kuudere.
Megane characters are highly intelligent, preferring to study and keep to themselves as opposed to social interactions with others. Because of this they are often also cynical of the world, similar to a hinedere. They may even be arrogant and give off the impression that they don't care about other people. They are usually very blunt when it comes to giving their opinions and are stubborn when it comes to being proven wrong.
