Etymology
Meaning of the Term
Shigoto ningen (仕事人間) comes from "shigoto" (仕事), meaning "work, job, or employment", and "ningen" (人間), meaning "a person's character (their moral and ethical qualities, which are made up of their beliefs and principles that guide their behavior)". Altogether it is translated as "workaholic".[1]

Shigoto ningen are characters whose lives revolve around their job. They're primary focus is their job and they are a strict workaholic. This comes at the cost of spending a good amount of free time with family members or friends, as well as emotionally connecting with others.[3][4]
Because they put all their energy into their work and lead a work-centered life, they have a strong sense of responsibility for their work and tend to work long hours to earn a high reputation in the workplace. Characteristics of people who tend to be workaholics include the following. They never cut corners or compromise. Expecting others to perform at the same level as they do.
They are rarely seen not working on something, so they tend to dislike vacations.
Differences From Other Archetypes
This could be seen as a non-dere type version of kiridere, since they tend to be very focused on work. The main difference is that shigoto ningen characters don't have to have an unapproachable air around them from how serious they work, and they also don't have to become deredere.
