"Tsuno Musume" (JP), also known as "Tsunokko" (JP), is a term for a young female human character with horns.
Etymology
Meaning of the Term
Tsuno musume (角娘) is a combination of "tsuno" (角), meaning "horns", and "musume" (娘), meaning "daughter (or a young unmarried girl)".[1]
Alternate Spelling
This is also sometimes referred to as "tsunokko" (角っ娘), which comes from the alternate reading of the kanji "musume" (娘) when used as a suffix, which is "ko".[2][3]
This term can also be alternatively written as "角っ子" using "ko" (子), a gender-neutral term for "child", while being pronounced the same way as "ko" (娘) meaning "daughter". This alternate spelling can be used to allow male characters to also fall under this archetype, however, the male version of this archetype is far more niche and there are currently not any known official uses of tsunokko being used to refer to a male character.[4]
Characteristics
Tsuno musume are young female characters who have horns. Generally they are a type of ajin (demi-human) and are from a race that naturally has horns, though they may also just temporarily grow horns as a result of their abilities.[1]
Tsuno musume are mostly human in appearance while having horns on their head.
Sub-Types
There are many different types of horns, ranging from animal horns, to mythical creature horns, to horns made from inanimate objects.[1]
Animal Horns
The most common types of animal horns are deer horns and sheep horns. Human characters with deer or sheep characteristics typically have animal horns as opposed to animal ears.

Differences From Other Archetypes
Tsuno musume is very similar to kemonomimi, but instead of having animal ears they have animal horns.
Many monster musume characters (mostly demon girls, dragon girls, and oni girls) also fall under tsuno musume since monster girls often have horns. The main difference is simply that not all monster girls have horns and not all tsunokko are based on monster horns.

She is also called a tsunokko (角っ子), but this does not specify the gender. Tsunokko, as the name suggests, is a girl with horns. The shapes of horns vary, and the term tsunokko or tsuno musume does not refer to horns of a specific shape.”
