Romaji: Yankii)</sup> is a term for a character who is a juvenile delinquent and participates in rebellious or illegal actions in middle school or high school. They are notorious for being loud, rude, and refusing to take part in the strict manners of Japanese society. They are identifiable by their gaudy clothes and dyed hair, heavily inspired by American rock n' roll culture.
