"Danyan" is a term for a character who on the surface appears to be silent and expressionless, but on the inside is pathologically obsessed with and devoted to their love interest to the point it causes them to become mentally sick. They don't speak much or show their emotions, but on the inside they have thoughts of obsession or urges of violence towards those who get close to their love interest. They may also do things such as silently stalking their love interest. Despite their normally silent behavior, they have a warm and talkative deredere side for only their love interest.
