"Gangire" is a term for a character who uses guns to harm others when they become angry.

Etymology

Meaning of the Term

Gangire (ガンギレ) is a combination of "gan" (ガン), meaning "gun", and "kireru" (キレる), meaning "to get angry or lose one's temper".

Personality

Gangire will use guns in a violent way towards people they feel are their enemies or towards those who anger them. They will not hesitate to point a gun at someone and threaten to kill them if they don't do what the gangire asks.

Gangire usually use handguns such as pistols and revolvers, but it's not uncommon for them to use long guns, such shotguns and rifles.

Differences From Other Archetypes

Gangire is a gire variation of gandere. The difference is that gandere characters use guns to hide their romantic and loving feelings from their love interest, while gangire use guns to harm their enemies. Gandere characters also don't actually 'want' to harm their love interest, and they never will seriously harm them, they just do it out of impulse because they get embarrassed (this is also used more for comedic effect).
