"Hihangire" (JP) is a term for a character who gets angry and acts rude towards those close to them in hopes that they will better themselves. They will act like an overly critical personal trainer. Although it might not seem like it at first, this is their way of showing that they care and they hope that their loved one will be better off because of it.
