"Kahodere" (JP) is a term for character who is deredere towards their love interest, but is also very overprotective of them and treats them with excessive care. They will constantly be looking for their love interest to make sure they are safe and to protect their relationship. They have a tendency to become very jealous easily when their love interest is with other people and will always be keeping an eye on them. However, in contrary to their tendency to be overprotective and controlling, when they are with their love interest they will be extremely lovey-dovey and affectionate with them. Their feelings of overprotectiveness come from a place of love and always wanting their love interest to be cared for.
