"Zongire" is a term for an angry zombie character.

Etymology

Meaning of the Term

Zongire (ゾンギレ) is a combination of "zonbi/zombi" (ゾンビ), meaning "zombie", and "kireru" (キレる), meaning "to get angry or lose one's temper".

Characteristics

Zongire have immense levels of body horror applied to them. They will almost always have either green or pale gray skin and it's not uncommon for them to be missing chunks of their skin as well. They may even be missing other body parts as well and can usually survive any injury aside from having their head smashed.

Personality

Zongire will almost always have a completely mindless personality and lack all intelligence, though some may still have limited intelligence. They are driven by nothing more than their need for survival and will subconciously hunt living people in order to eat them. They are extremely violent and do not feel any remorse for others, not that they are even capable of such a coherent concept in the first place.

Zongire will generally be quite-slow moving since they are only operating by instinct. Zongire that have limited intelligence will generally speak in slow, broken sentences as well.

Differences From Other Archetypes

Zongire is a heartless and far more violent "gire" variation of zondere; zombie characters who are deredere. Unlike zondere, these zombies do not have a loving and affectionate personality; they are mindless and want only to kill or consume others. Zondere will also have full human morals, unlike zongire who have none.
