Make sure to read the character guidelines before adding any new characters. All characters listed who have been in love with, have a crush on, or are in a relationship with someone and are Usodere for them will be marked with a heart (♥) next to their name. You can also see who this love interest is by dragging the cursor over the heart. Characters who are not romantic versions of this type, but are cute and affectionate towards friends/family must be marked with (platonic) or (familial) instead. |

"Usodere" (JP) is term for a character who at first pretends to have feelings for their love interest and creates a perfect facade for self-interested desires, but eventually starts to fall in love with them for real and becomes genuinely deredere for them. They are selfish characters who want something from their love interest so they fake their personality and scheme to manipulate their love interest into falling for them to make their desires come true. They will pretend to have romantic feelings for their love interest and create a perfect facade to hide their true nature that they think will help them get what they want, such as playing a cute childhood friend or an innocent sickly person. However, in the process they start to fall in genuine love with their love interest. The lies are followed by love and they gradually become attracted to their love interest. In short, this is an archetype where the lies become the truth. After falling in love with their love interest they will adopt a cute deredere personality and start being all lovey-dovey with them.
