"Kanedere" is a term for a character who at first will pretend to be in love with their love interest if they have money, status, or any other resource that will benefit them, but in the process falls genuinely in love and becomes deredere for them. They are golddiggers who act all cute and lovey-dovey with anyone they think will benefit them. However, eventually they will find someone who they have genuinely fallen in love with. They will realize that money is not the most important thing to them anymore and they will begin to appreciate their love interest for who they really are, for rich or for poor.
It's not his height or his face. What makes a guy attractive... (fondly) ...is his bank account. —Kimi Todo, from Fruits Basket

Genshin Impact
There's no need to use a Vision in affairs that Mora can solve. —Ningguang from Genshin Impact
Cashing in time and Mora for power... Interesting. This shows their true value. —Ningguang from Genshin Impact
Wealth... why settle for less than more? —Ningguang from Genshin Impact
In business, everything comes down to profits versus losses. You have to keep a cool head and make rational judgments. In other words, you must be shrewd. But shrewdness is easily perceived as cynicism in the eyes of others. People come to think of you as someone who cares only about money, and not people. Hardly the worst thing in the world, of course. But it has caused obstacles for me in the past. —Ningguang from Genshin Impact
In any case... the sight of Mora has always had a way of improving my mood, no matter what the sum is. —Ningguang from Genshin Impact
I don't often feel tired. Seeing the Mora come in has a way of making me feel quite invigorated. —Ningguang from Genshin Impact
Oh no, not yet! There's more Mora to be made. —Ningguang from Genshin Impact
Vast wealth is a wonderful thing. Adding another Mora to the pot can hardly make it any less wonderful, now, can it? —Ningguang, from Genshin Impact

Glad to make your acquaintance — I'm Topaz, an investment expert from the Interastral Peace Corporation. I'm here on Jarilo-VI for a special business assignment. —Topaz, from Honkai Star Rail
It's a bull market. —Topaz, from Honkai Star Rail
The market always fluctuates. Whenever you're ready~ —Topaz, from Honkai Star Rail
Still no repayments? —Topaz, from Honkai Star Rail
Let the asset valuation begin. —Topaz, from Honkai Star Rail
I suppose what I'm trying to say is, what I'm drawn to isn't the style in which a piece is painted, but its overall value. Its intrinsic value may only be 50,000 credits, but its "added value" might push the total up to 200,000. —Topaz, from Honkai Star Rail
Money is a means, not an end. Work should make you happy... That's the most fundamental principle. —Topaz, from Honkai Star Rail
Topaz: I understand. From your point of view, I can see how unreasonable it appears. However, you must understand that debt collection is a big part of my job. I've dealt with cases far more difficult than Belobog's. I appreciate each case has its difficulties, but if I treated every late debtor as a "special case," the galaxy's economy would come to a grinding halt.
Trailblazer: What a heartless way of seeing things...
Topaz: Haha~ I've heard that before — more than a few times, actually. The Strategic Investment Department is well-versed in handling such situations. We can offer the debtor various repayment solutions... but Jarilo-VI has far exceeded the allotted repayment period. I'm afraid milder solutions aren't the order of the day. So, I proposed to Bronya... Oops! I almost gave away trade secrets there, didn't I? That was a close one. The exhibits here are pretty ordinary — I estimate they're probably not worth much. Let's keep moving.
Topaz: I'll fight for this opportunity for you, Bronya. I shouldn't have conflated your own circumstances with my childhood. That was a serious lapse of judgment on my part. My world never had a resolute leader, so people gave up on the idea of saving themselves long ago. But your civilization has persisted through the snow and storms for 700 years... A truly admirable feat.
Bronya: Then, are you willing to retract your previous decision? As for the debt... we'll find a way to gradually repay it, but it'll take some time...
Topaz: ...Unfortunately the acquisition of Jarilo-VI is a strategic decision that's been approved by the IPC's top brass. Even if I wanted to overturn it, convincing them would be extremely difficult. Unless...
Himeko: Don't worry, Miss Topaz. Myself and all of the Nameless aboard the Astral Express are willing to vouch for this world.
Topaz: Fantastic! That might just work. As for the reports and potential accountability... I'll handle it.
Haha, that's unlikely. At most, they might lower my rank and reduce my bonus a bit. But don't worry, I work for far more than just a paycheck. —Topaz, from Honkai Star Rail
If that's what they want to do, then so be it. I've long passed the stage of working just for money. —Topaz, from Honkai Star Rail
Lady Asta! Now that's a real lady if I ever saw one. You'll never guess just how wealthy she really is! —Topaz, from Honkai Star Rail
Don't be complacent — good investors always think long-term. —Topaz, from Honkai Star Rail
Lady Asta! How's your mother been? We should hang out more! —Topaz, from Honkai Star Rail
Stellaron Hunters? We aren't acquainted. Never worked with them on any projects. Supposedly those guys are hard to get in touch with, but they have an unexpectedly good credit record — which I value far more than any groundless conspiracy theories. —Topaz, from Honkai Star Rail
Lady Jade is like nobility to me, beautiful and capable. She is always so kind and willing to guide and support the younger generation! When I think about the first time I met her, I still get nervous... Time does fly. —Topaz, from Honkai Star Rail
Vanilla: Shinpan no Sono
There was only one reason I came with Andou here on a date today. 'Cause he'd pay for everything. That was the only reason. He had a part-time job and had the money. I thouht I might get him to buy me a brand-name bag on the way back. The only thing I looked for in guys was sex and money. I didn't need their hearts. —Riri, from Vanilla: Shinpan no Sono
I decided to just date them all. I got more wallets to call on, so things worked out for me. They were gullible. Too gullible. Why were men so gullible? I could just pretend to like them and then they'd be wrapped around my finger right away. —Riri, from Vanilla: Shinpan no Sono
If I needed money, I'd get some guy to open his wallet for me. —Riri, from Vanilla: Shinpan no Sono
